Ammonia Gas Leak at Agra Cold Storage: Village Evacuated; 27 People, Including 6 Children, Hospitalised
Agra, March 13 (TNA) An ammonia gas leak occurred on Thursday night at the Samadhiya Cold Storage in Agra. Consequently, people began experiencing breathing difficulties and eye irritation, while children started vomiting. Upon receiving the information, ten fire tenders and a police force immediately rushed to the scene. The entire village was evacuated following public announcements.
Subsequently, with the assistance of ambulances, 27 people, including six children, were admitted to the hospital. Animals tethered to stakes were also untied and released. District Magistrate Arvind Mallappa Bangari also arrived at the site. After strenuous efforts, the situation was brought under control. The incident took place in Kukthari village, Pinahat.
