Allahabad High Court Rejects Anticipatory Bail Plea Of Former Noida Chief Engineer Yadav Singh

Prayagraj, Oct 1 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail applications of former Noida Authority Chief Engineer Yadav Singh and Junior Engineer Rakesh Kumar Jain. Justice Samit Gopal has given this order.

The court had reserved the decision on the application after hearing advocates Shivsagar Singh and Manish Gupta and senior CBI advocates Gyan Prakash and Sanjay Yadav. The verdict was delivered on Friday. The petitioners are alleged to have committed huge irregularities and scams in the construction contract for the Noida Cricket Stadium, which caused huge financial loss to the Noida Authority.

On the orders of the Allahabad High Court, the CBI has investigated 32 contracts and filed a charge sheet. Huge increase in the expenditure rate in the contract caused damage to the authority worth crores, it was inferred. Instead of a joint venture in the stadium, a single venture was awarded to the manual of CPW side-by-side.
