Allahabad High Court Asks UP To Lockdown Down Five Cities Till April 26, Government Says No!

Lucknow, April 19 (TNA) In a swift and unexpected turn of events, hours after the Allahabad High Court asked the Uttar Pradesh government to go for a complete and strict lockdown in five Corona-hit districts of the state, the latter refused to do so.

A state government spokesman said that strict measures were being taken to enforce COVID appropriate behaviour and that many organisations and establishments were also closing down on their own.

The spokesman also said that the government was hence not going for a lockdown. UP on Monday recorded a whopping 282827 fresh cases of COVID and 167 deaths.
