Allahabad HC To Continue Hearing On Matter About Start Of Puja In Vyas Cellar Of Gyanvapi In Varanasi

Prayagraj, February 7 (TNA) Hearing will continue in Allahabad High Court on Wednesday in the matter of order to start puja in the basement of Vyasji in Gyanvapi complex of Varanasi, the hearing will be held from 10 am. On Tuesday, a hearing was held for about 2 hours in the Allahabad High Court regarding the Gyanvapi case of Varanasi, in which the lawyer of Intezamia Masjid, Syed Farman Naqvi, taking forward his debate held on 2 February, presented his side on behalf of the Muslim side.

The order to start worship in the basement of Vyas ji has been challenged by the Muslim side. Apart from this, the order of the District Judge appointing the DM of Varanasi as the receiver of Vyas ji's basement has also been challenged. The hearing on the amended application took place in the single bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal on Tuesday afternoon. Many arguments were presented in the court from both sides.

The Muslim side claimed in the court that the Varanasi District Judge had passed the order dated January 31 without any application. The Hindu side argued that the judge has discretion under Section 151 CPC. The court asked, can the district judge give orders without any application? There will be a debate on Wednesday on this legal issue.

Not only this, but the court also objected to the media trial of the hearing and said that both parties should avoid media trials. The court said that I request you not to give any statement on TV or in public until this matter is decided, it would not be appropriate to discuss such sub-judice cases.
