Allahabad HC Reserves Judgement On Maintainability Of Gyanvapi Civil Suit, To Pronounce It On August 28

Prayagraj, July 25 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court (HC) on Tuesday heard all the pending cases related to the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi. The hearing on the petitions moved by the Muslim side, after directives of the Supreme Court, was conducted by the single bench of Justice Prakash Padia.

The petitions challenged the validity of the Archaeological Survey by the ASI which began on Monday under directives of the district court, but stayed by the SC. The HC reserved its order on the maintability of the civil suit and will now pronounce its verdict of August 28.

The petitions have been filed by the Muslim side, the Masjid Arrangement Committee and the UP Sunni Central Waqf Board. Swayam Bhu Adi Visheshwar Nath Temple is a party from the side of Hindus.
