Allahabad HC Denies Bail To Atique Ahmad's Son In Attempt To Murder Case, Says He Is Mafia In Making

Prayagraj, March 2 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court (HC) has denied bail to Ali Ahmad, son of mafia don and former lawmaker Atique Ahmad in an attempt to murder case. The court in an order of Monday also observed that Ali is himself a Mafia Don in making, whose role has also figured in the Umesh Pal Murder case.

Umesh Pal, who was the prime witness in the murder case of Raju Pal, a sitting Member of the Legislative Assembly, was killed in broad daylight on February 24 as he alighted form his car and was going to his residence.

Referring to Ali Ahmad, the bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh also stated that if such a criminalis allowed to walk out on bail he would be a threat not only to the witnesses but also a constant threat to society.

Ali Ahmad had moved the High Court to get bail in a 2021 case in which he has been accused of threatening to kill the complainant and his family, demanding extortion of Rs. 5 crores, assaulting the complainant and his family members.
