All Rajdhani Express Will Now Stop At Prayagraj, Emergency Quota To Increase In Many Trains

Prayagraj, July 2 (TNA) The stoppage of all Rajdhani Express in Prayagraj has now been mandate by the Ministry of Railways. At present, Howrah-New Delhi, Rajendra Nagar-New Delhi, Ranchi-New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar-New Delhi and Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express have stoppages at Prayagraj Junction, while Sealdah-New Delhi, Agartala-New Delhi and Ranchi Express stop here.

14 pairs of trains including New Delhi (train number 20839) do not have stoppages. After Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction is going to become the second station of North Central Railway where all Rajdhani stoppages will take place. If everything goes well, stoppage of all Rajdhani Express will start at Prayagraj Junction this financial year. Not only this, emergency quota will also be increased in many trains passing through Prayagraj and Chheoki.

MP of Phulpur, Keshari Devi Patel had sent a letter to NCR GM Satish Kumar asking for stoppage of all these trains at Prayagraj Junction. It was also said that Mahakumbh is going to be organized in Prayagraj. Therefore, stoppage of all passenger trains should be ensured here. This issue was also raised in the meeting of MPs of Prayagraj Mandal with GM NCR on June 30.

At present, the NCR administration has talked about sending a proposal to the Railway Board to stop 12313/12314 Sealdah Rajdhani, 20501/20502 Agartala Rajdhani and 20839/20840 at Prayagraj Junction. It is being told that in this financial year these trains will stop at Prayagraj Junction.

Apart from this, letters have been sent to the concerned Zonal Railways for increasing the emergency quota in 11061 Pawan Express, 15160 Sarnath Express, 12562 Swatantrata Senani, 14006 Lichchavi Express. In this regard, NCR CPRO Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay says that the proposal of the suggestions received from the MPs is being sent to the Railway Board.
