Ahead of Party Stir On Pegasus Project, CLP Leader Aradhana Misra 'Mona' Placed Under House Arrest
Lucknow, July 22 (TNA) Ahead of the nationwide stir against alleged snooping on the phones of Rahul Gandhi, many other opposition leaders, judges and journalists, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader in the Uttar Pradesh assembly, Aradhana Misra 'Mona' was placed under house arrest on Thursday morning.
Conforming this, Misra, who is second-term legislator from Rampur Khas said that by doing so, the BJP had yet again shown its true colours. "The BJP is anti-people, anti-democracy and do not have the guts to face dissent over issues of their making" she told The News Agency.
She further condemned the crackdown on opposition and said that whatever the ruling party may try they will not be able to muzzle the voice of Congress leaders and its workers.
BJP is not only undermining democracy but is also out to throttle the voices of debate, dissent and dialogue, she mused. The saffron party is afraid to debate on subjects of national interest and people-centric issues.
