Ahead Of Farmer Agitation, Congress Leader Pradeep Jain Aditya Placed Under House Arrest In Jhansi

JHANSI || Former union minister and senior Congress leader Pradeep Jain was placed under house arrest by the Police late on Sunday night. According to the leader, the police action, preceded his leaving for Lucknow to take part in a anti-government stir over farmer legislators that he said the Modi government had forcibly passed in the parliament.

"I and my associates were set to go to Lucknow for the agitation scheduled for Monday but we have been placed under house arrest", Jain said while adding that he will continue the protests against the anti-farmers moves of the NDA government at the centre. "The government, through such coercive measures cannot freak our resolve to raise farmer issues" the former MP said.
