Agra Metro Stations Get Unique Station Codes From Indian Railways

Agra, August 7 (TNA) Agra Metro Stations have been assigned their respective station code names after approval from Indian Railways Conference Association, an official informed on Saturday.

Along the lines of unique station codes used in Indian Railways, Indian Metro Rail Services also use unique station codes which are displayed on signs, boards and used in day-to-day life for easy identification.

These code names will be helpful in not only identifying stations, but also their usage in metro operations is beneficial as they take less time in deciphering.

While Taj East Gate Station will be known as TEGT, Agra Cantt Metro station, which will also have Agra Cantt Railway Station in close proximity, will be known as AGCM. Similarly, Sikandara Metro Station will be known by the code SKRM.
