After Rita Bahuguna Joshi's Displeasure, BJP Expels Jitendra Singh 'Babloo'

Lucknow, August 10 (TNA) In a swift political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday expelled Jitendra Singh 'Babloo' who was recently inducted into the party.

The former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) legislator is the prime accused in the 2009 incident of burning of the house of the then UPCC chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi, now the BJP MP from Prayagraj.

Expressing his dismay at the assimilation of Jitendra Singh in the party, Joshi had soon after said the she will take up the matter with the BJP leadership, including BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh and national president JP Nadda. She had also said that the may be the party leaders were not in know of the development.

Joshi's house in Lucknow was set on fire in 2009 after a remark on the then UP chief minister Mayawati she made after rape of a girl. A mob of BSP workers had set her house ablaze in anger.
