After Delay In order, Swiggy Delivery Boy Kills Restaurant Owner In Noida

Noida, Sep 1 (TNA) In a shocking incident, a delivery boy of Swiggy - India's largest online food ordering and delivery platform, shot and killed a restaurant owner after the food order was taking time to prepare, as a result of which his delivery order was getting delayed.

The assailant fled the crime scene and is still to be arrested. The incident is from Mitra Society of Beta-2 police station area of ​​Greater Noida, where 45-year-old Sunil, used to run a restaurant named 'Jhamjham'.

This restaurant took online food orders also for delivery. On Tuesday night at 12:15 am, there was a dispute between Narayan, who works in this restaurant and the delivery boy of Swiggy.

People present on the spot told the police later that on Tuesday night Swiggy's delivery boy had come to order chicken biryani and some other food items. In this, the order of Chicken Biryani was given to him, while the remaining part of the order was taking some more time.

It is alleged that a drunk delivery boy started abusing Narayan due to delay in the order. On this the restaurant owner Sunil came to the spot and intervened in a bid to end the matter.

It is alleged that with the help of one of his companions, the delivery boy shot Sunil in the head due to which he slumped on the spot. Narayan, with the help of his other companions, took Sunil in an injured condition to Reality Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police is searching for the accused with the help of CCTV footage installed nearby and it claims that the accused will soon be brought to justice.
