After COVID Surge, Entry Into Sanctum Sanctorum Of Kashi Vishwanath Temple Banned

Varanasi, April 10 (TNA) With growing number of COVID cases across the state and also in the temple town of Varanasi, the administration of Kashi Vishwanath temple's sanctum sanctorum has been closed for devotees.

The entry into the sanctum sanctorum of Kashi Vishwanath Temple has been prohibited, due to current COVID19 situation, an official informed. He further added that no devotees will be allowed to take part in early morning 'Mangla Aarti' at the temple, due to night curfew.

Varanasi is one of the growing list of cities in UP where Coronavirus cases have seen a huge surge in recent days. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had on Friday visited Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of prime minister Narendra Modi, to review on ground the situation.
