After Almost A Year, Schools In UP For All Classes To Reopen From March 1

Lucknow, February 5 (TNA) After almost 11 months of closure, schools for all classes will reopen in the state of Uttar Pradesh from March 1, an official said on Friday.

The orders were issued by the state's primary education department after a nod from chief minister Yogi Adityanath. For now, schools for classes between 6th and 8th will reopen from February 10 and for classes 1-5 will reopen from March 1.

The schools however will be reopened under strict vigil over the COVID protocol and management of schools have been asked to ensure that all SOP's are in place for children.

Cases of Coronavirus have gone down considerably in the state over the past one month. Lucknow recorded a low of 22 cases on Friday and the whole state had 163 cases in all and two deaths. One person died in Rae Bareli and the other one in Pratapgarh.
