45-Year-Old Dalit Man Lynched In Mainpuri, Four Arrested After Video Of Incident Goes Viral

MAINPURI || A 45-year-old man was lynched by a group of men from the same locality in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. The critically wounded man, a Dalit was identified as Sarvesh Diwakar, who was a 'halwai' by profession. He was rushed to the district hospital after being critically wounded and he died at the medical facility on Monday.

Mainpuri district police chief Ajay Kumar told reporters that four persons have been arrested on basis of a video the whole incident that went viral. We are on the lookout of the fifth person and they all will be brought to justice, he added. The deceased hailed from Sirsaganj in Faizabad. The men can be seen mercilessly beating the deceased on the terrace of a building.

They are kicking him in private parts, in the stomach and punching him. A person from a nearby house recorded the entire thing on a mobile phone.
