36th U.P State Taekwondo Championship Inaugurated In Lucknow

Lucknow, January 20 (TNA) The 36th U.P State Taekwondo Championship, conducted by the U.P Taekwondo Association was inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the program ADG U.P Police Prakash D. IPS by lighting-up of the lamp in presence of Dr. G.M Jimmy R Jagtiani 'Father & Founder of Taekwondo in India'. Technical Chairman - G.M Peter Jagtiani, National Player - Manoj Verma and Chairman Publicity Wing- G.M Gaurav Singh Chauhan.

Prakash D addressed the players by motivating them and telling them the importance of Taekwondo as a martial art and also for self-defense, It is a must for both boys and girls to learn this and participate in such competitions and also grow in the field of sports.

Dr G.M Jimmy Jagtiani told that The Gold and Silver Medal winners of this state championship will represent U.P State in upcoming National Championship of 2024.

Senior Male - under 54 kg weight category ( Pranjal Sahu, Lucknow, Gold Medal, Shiva Goswami, Mirzapur - Silver Medal)

Cadet Female - under 37 kg weight category ( Bhumi Gautam, Lucknow- Gold Medal. Palak Singh, Lucknow, Silver Medal )

Infant Male - under 23 kg weight category (Parth, Lucknow - Gold Medal, Satvik Mishra, Lucknow - Silver Medal, Prakhyat Verma, Lucknow - Bronze)

Sub Junior Female - Under 26 kg - Arohi Gupta, Lucknow - Gold Medal, Under 38 Kg - Rabhya Mishra, Lucknow - Gold Medal.
