25th Convocation Of SGPGI Today

Lucknow, January 9 (TNA) The 25th convocation of Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences is being held on Saturday at the Lecture Theater Complex. The convocation will be presided over by Governor Anandiben Patel, who will also confer degrees and awards to the passing out students.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony will be the director of the Tata Memorial Center, Kolkata and eminent hematologist Dr Dunumd Bindkal. On this occasion he will also give a lecture on the subject of 'Future of Medicine'.

In the convocation ceremony, 193 students who have passed through the Twelfth Terminal and thesis will be conferred degrees.

The director of the institute, Professor RK Dhiman, who has been an alumnus of the institute himself, will submit an account of the past 1 year work of the institute.

Children of the Central School, Sanjay Gandhi PGI branch have also been invited on this occasion so that they can be inspired to make medical science their career by being a part of this function.

This year the convocation due to the corona transition is being held in a hybrid mode, where some selected guests and department heads will be directly part of the ceremony and other faculty members and students' families will be part of the event from the zoom platform.
