21 Bogies Of Goods Train Derails At Jaunpur, Varanasi-Sultanpur Rail Route Halted

Jaunpur, Nov 11 (TNA) 21 bogies of a goods wagon derailed in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh Thursday morning, halting all traffic on the Varanasi-Sultanpur rail route.

The goods train is believed to be at a high speed due to which the derailment happened. The driver of the train - AK Chauhan and guard Sanjay Yadav are however completely safe.

The mishap happened near Shri Krishna Nagar railway station. The goods train was going from Sultanpur to Mughalsarai. Due to the mishap, Mahamana Express, Sultanpur Jaunpur Varanasi Passenger were stranded in the middle of nowhere.

The information of the incident has been given to the higher officials of Lucknow Division of Northern Railway. Local railway officials have rushed to the spot, an official told TNA.
