16th Convocation Of King George Medical University Held

Lucknow, December 22 (TNA) The 16th convocation of the King George Medical University (KGMU) was held in the state capital on Monday. Presiding over the event, governor Anandiben Patel said that the aim of medical education should not only be to gain knowledge but also every student should have humility and sense of service.

She also expressed her happiness that of the 44 medalists, 21 were female students.

The governor said that the government is spending crores of rupees on reading and teaching of students and hence they should use their education for the welfare and wellbeing go the society.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Lieutenant General Dr Bipin Puri briefed the dignitaries on light on various activities of the University. Medical Education, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Minister of State Sandeep Singh and students along with teachers were present on the occasion.
