1200 Foreign Students Apply For Studies At The Lucknow University

Lucknow, June 17 (TNA) After improving its ranking and study environment, Lucknow University has now emerged as a preferred choice for even foreign students. This year around 1200 students from 60 countries have applied for admission in LU. These applications are for UG and PG courses.

According to the university administration, this is the highest number of admissions. All these students will be enrolled under the Indian Council for Cultural Relations Students Scholarship Program. Students from Japan are interested in Political Science, students from China are interested in Hindi, Malaysian students in Urdu. Maximum applications have come for the management course.

The number of foreign students in LU is increasing steadily. In the year 2021-22, 371 students had applied while in 2022-23, this figure touched 800. From basic infrastructure to improving the quality of education of the students, a lot of work has been done in the varsity in the past few years.
