12 IPS Officers Transferred In UP, IG Kanpur And Agra Shunted Out

Lucknow, October 27 (TNA) A dozen officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) were transferred by the UP government on Wednesday. These included Mohit Agarwal, a 1997 batch IPS officer who was IG Kanpur and now has been shunted out to an insignificant post of IG Technical Services in Lucknow.

He has been replaced by Prashant Kumar, a 2000 batch officer. Naveen Arora, the IG of Agra zone has also been eased out and sent to Lucknow as IG Budget, Police HQ. Nachiketa Jha has been named the new IG of Agra. Yogesh Singh, Commandant of the 47th PAC battalion, Ghaziabad has been sent to the 25th battalion of PAC in Rae Bareily.

Among otehr IPS officials who have bene transferred are Arvind Bhushan Pandey, Sanjay Singh, Kalpana Saxena, Rahul Yadvendu, Rajesh Kumar Saxena, Bharti Singh and Vikas Kumar Vaidya.
