11-year-old Killed In UP As A BJP Leader's Kid Accidentally Fires From A Pistol

Kaushambi, July 31 (TNA) An 11-year-old kid was killed in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday evening when a pistol went off while kids were playing with the gun that belonged to another kids father Sanjay Jaiswal. The owner of the pistol is the district BJP general secretary.

At six o'clock on Saturday evening, the 11-year-old deceased was playing with his friends and one of them had brought the pistol along with him. On information, the police reached the spot and inquired about the matter from the family members. The police sent the body for post-mortem late in the evening.

When the boy came out of the house with a pistol, the family members did not notice him. The pistol was loaded and suddenly the trigger was pressed and the bullet was fired, an official said.

The bullet hit the chest of Anant Verma (11) son of Rameshwar, a student of class V, who was playing there. Hearing the sound of fire, the people of the locality reached the spot and saw that Anant was bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the district hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

ASP Samar Bahadur and CO City Yogendra Krishna Narayan Singh said that the family members are not seeking action at the moment. They did not agree to conduct the post-mortem, but as per law the body was sent for post-mortem.
