11-year-Old Boy Jumps In Pond In Mainpuri To Save Cousin Brother, Both Drown

Mainpuri, May 9 (TNA) Two children, who had gone to graze cattle, died due to drowning in the pond in village Gunhiya, village panchayat Basak of Karhal's development block of Mainpuri on Monday. The two brothers had gone to graze cattle drowned in the pond in village Gunhiya of Thana Kurra when they were taking a summer splash.

The relatives took them to medical college in Saifai where the doctors declared them brought dead. The deceased have bene identified as Arpit (15) and Prashant (11). After getting the information, CO Karhal Ashok Kumar reached the village with police force. The family refused to conduct the post-mortem. After this the police returned without any action. They were cremated in the evening.
