Beggars Corporation Gets Certificate As Social Impact Industry

Varanasi, Oct 27 (TNA) Beggars Corporation, which was registered as a for-profit company on August 12 this year under Humanomics Private Limited, has achieved a major milestone. It has received Certificate of Recognition as a Social Impact Industry from the Department For Promotion Of Industry And Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, on October 26, vide Certificate No. DIPP112697.

It may be noted that this is the one and only company in the world promoted by and for the beggars. Starting work experimentally in June 2021 in Varanasi, Beggars Corporation launched its eco-friendly cotton bags in October 2021.

Even the ruling party BJP purchased conference-cum-laptop bags from it for its National Executive Meeting in November 2021. In July this year, it introduced another project Poonya for Pooja Samagri for which 110 devotees booked Sawan Jalabhishek at Kashi Vishwanath Temple through it.

It did a business worth INR 27 lakh in 10 months before registration. The BC has set a target to raise investment (not donation) and make Varanasi a model of begging-free city in 2 years.
