Yogi Takes Grim View Of Death Of Three Tigers At Dudhwa National Park, Dispatches Forest Minister, Officials To Probe

Lucknow, June 10 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a grim view of the feline deaths in the Dudhwa National PArk and has ordered a thorough probe into the matter. Three tigers have died within a short span of twelve days in the nationap park, located in Lakhimpur district of UP.

The CM has directed Forest Minister Arun Kumar Saxena and Additional Chief Secretary, Forest Manoj Kumar Singh to immediately visit Dudhwa National Park to investigate and submit a detailed report. All the officials including the Forest Minister have left for Dudhwa on Friday evening itself.

First a tiger died in Dudhwa. The local officials are of the view that this tiger lost the battle of life due to injuries in a mutual conflict. All the parts of the tiger have been recovered, so it does not become a case of poaching. Dehydration was the cause of death of the second dead tigress, while the third dead tigress was said to have died due to old age as she was more than 8 years old and apparently died in a conflict.

Apart from Forest Minister and Additional Chief Secretary, Forest Department Head Mamta Sanjeev Dubey and Project Tiger in-charge Sunil Chaudhary also left for the spot on Friday evening itself. This team headed by the Forest Minister will go to the spot and investigate.
