Ratapani In Madhya Pradesh Declared 57th Tiger Reserve Of India
New Delhi, December 4 (TNA) India has designated the Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh as its 57th tiger reserve, marking it the eighth in the state. This expansion covers 1271.4 sq km, with a core area of 763.8 sq km and a buffer zone of 507.6 sq km.
The move is celebrated for enhancing India's commitment to wildlife conservation, particularly of tigers, whose population has increased by 77% over the last decade. This initiative not only aims at tiger protection but also at promoting biodiversity and ecological balance.
