Week-long Moot Court Event At AMU Concludes

Aligarh, March 7 (TNA) The week-long Sir Syed National Moot Court competition 2024, organized by the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University concluded here by distributing certificates and prizes to the winners. The team of Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow emerged as the winner, whereas SRM Law University, Sonepat, Haryana was declared as the runner-up.

Justice V.N. Mittal, Justice Ifaqat Ali Khan, former District Judge Riyasat Hussain, Supreme Court Advocate M R Shamshad and Senior Advocate Syed Farman Hussain Naqvi of Allahabad High Court judged the semi-final and final rounds of the competition.

The Sir Syed National Moot Court Competition is a flagship programme of the Law Society and the Faculty of Law and it has successfully been organized after a gap of five years, said Prof MZM Nomani, Dean, Faculty of Law. The Moot Court Secretary, Asma Nafees and Law Society Secretary Sabeeh Ahmad played a key role in drawing the details of the event.

Prof Ishrat Hussain, Organizing Secretary and Prof Hashmat Ali Khan, Incharge Law Society provided the necessary guidance and supervision. Prof Mohd Ashraf extended a vote of thanks.
