PET 2023 Exam To Be Held Today At 1058 Centers In 35 districts of UP, Facial Recognition Attendance For The First Time

Lucknow, October 28 (TNA) According to the Subordinate Services Selection Commission, the PET examination 2023 will be held in two shifts from 10 to 12 in the morning and the second shift from 3 to 5 in the morning at 1058 centers in 35 districts.

Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) is being organized for Group C recruitment in the state on 28-29 October. The examination will be conducted in two shifts at 1058 centers in 35 districts. 20 lakh 7553 candidates will appear in the examination in two days. For the first time, candidates will have face recognition (biometric) attendance in PET which will prevent errors.

For the safe conduct of the examination, a total of 80,274 personnel including 35 Additional District Magistrates, 364 Sector Magistrates, 1249 Static Magistrates, 1058 Assistant Center Superintendents, 2116 Examination Assistants, 41,284 Room Inspectors, 5483 Additional Room Inspectors have been deployed. Along with this, the district and police administration will also be active and will monitor the examination.

Commission Chairman Praveer Kumar said that preparations for the examination have been completed. For the first time, there will be biometric based face recognition attendance in the examination. With this, someone else who is taking the exam in place of someone else can be caught.

All the centers will be monitored with more than 24 thousand CCTV cameras. For this, a central monitoring cell has been created at the headquarters of the Commission. He said that in view of the large number of candidates, the Transport Department is arranging additional buses.

After setting up the center there, the Technical Education Department has set up other centers in the district for document verification.

A letter has also been written to the Railway Administration to run additional trains. To avoid any kind of problem, candidates should leave for the examination center a little earlier. He said that in view of the India-England match on Sunday in Lucknow, candidates are advised to leave a little early. In those polytechnic institutions document verification was being done for admission.

After setting up the center there, the Technical Education Department has set up other centers in the district for document verification.

Most candidates in Varanasi

In Banaras, maximum 34248 candidates will appear for PET in one shift at 68 centres. There are 33720 candidates at 68 centers in Kanpur city, 28776 at 61 centers in Agra, 27864 at 56 centers in Meerut, 27672 at 57 centers in Gorakhpur, 25296 at 54 centres in Prayagraj, 24744 at 49 centers in Lucknow, 47 centers in Moradbar. 22224 candidates will appear in the examination in one shift.
