Children Test Covid Positive In Lucknow’s Cathedral School, GD Goenka And The Millennium School

Lucknow, May 5 (TNA) Covid has seen a steady increase in the state capital and some others parts of the state in the past few days. On Wednesday, 33 fresh cases were reported from Lucknow, of which one child each in Cathedral School, GD Goenka and The Millennium School has tested positive.

Teachers, students and other employees who came in contact have been investigated and all are in home isolation, CMO spokesperson Yogesh Raghuvanshi informed. Six to seven thousand people are being tested daily.

In the last 24 hours, 199 new patients of corona infection have been found in Uttar Pradesh. 244 patients have also been cured of this disease. There are now a total of 1641 corona infected patients in 60 districts. Maximum 715 patients are in Gautam Budh Nagar.

The total number of infected patients is 320 in Ghaziabad and 126 in Lucknow. The fourth number is from Agra where now 71 corona infected patients have become.

Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that a total of 90,117 samples were tested in a day in the state in the last 24-hours, out of which 199 new cases of corona infection have come.
