AMU Faculty Felicitated By West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee

Aligarh, February 7 (TNA) Alisha Ibkar, Assistant Professor, Department of English, AMU, was felicitated by the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee, at a special event held recently at Gazole College premises, in Malda district.

36 Artists, Activists, Academicians and Local social workers were recognised for their achievements under various categories of Art, Agriculture, Education and Social Work. Ibkar, who recently completed her Masters with distinction in Applied Theatre (Arts, Action, Change) from University of Warwick under the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme (2021-22), received recognition for continued academic excellence in the ‘Education’ category.

After completion of the course and her return to the country, Ibkar had organised a series of Applied Theatre workshops in various educational institutes located in remote corners of West Bengal on issues of social and educational importance.
