WPL Auction 2023: Five Teams Spend Rs 59.50 Crore To Buy 87 Players

Mumbai, February 14 (TNA) The Women's Premier League 2023 auction ended in Mumbai on Monday. The fate of 448 players was at stake in this auction. Out of the total 448 players who entered the auction, only 87 players got bids.

At the same time, five franchises, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriors, Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore together spent Rs 59.50 crore to buy them. In the end, 35 lakhs were left in Delhi's purse, five lakhs in Gujarat's purse and 10 lakhs in Bangalore's purse.

Gujarat, Delhi and Bangalore bought maximum 18-18 players. Whereas, Mumbai bought 17 players and UP bought 16 players.
