WhatsApp Introduces Landscape Mode And Screen-Sharing For Enhanced Video Calls

Meta Platforms, the parent company of WhatsApp, has introduced new features to enhance users' video call experience. Users can now make WhatsApp video calls in Landscape mode, providing a wider and more immersive viewing experience. Additionally, Meta has announced the introduction of screen-sharing during WhatsApp video calls.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, announced the screen-sharing feature in a Facebook post, explaining that users can share their screens during a video call by clicking on the 'Share' icon and selecting either a specific application or the entire screen. This feature allows users to share live views of their screens for activities such as work presentations, family photo browsing, vacation planning, online shopping, or providing tech support.

The screen-sharing feature is being rolled out gradually on Android, iOS, and Desktop platforms. While it may not be immediately available to all users, it will become accessible soon. In addition to screen-sharing, Meta has also introduced Landscape mode for WhatsApp video conversations. This mode offers a wider and more immersive viewing and sharing experience on mobile phones.

These updates aim to enhance communication and interaction for WhatsApp users, providing them with more options to connect and collaborate effectively during video calls.
