Veteran Journalist, Former Rajya Sabha MP Chandan Mitra Passes Away At 65

New Delhi, Sep 2 (TNA) Eminent journalist and a vocal politician, Chandan Mitra passed away late on Wednesday, his son tweeted on Thursday. The editor-politician who had been ailing for some time, added his son. He was 65.

"Since it is already out there; Dad passed away late last night. He had been suffering for a while," Kushan Mitra. PM Narendra Modi condoled the passing away of the former Rajya Sabha member of the BJP.

"Shri Chandan Mitra Ji will be remembered for his intellect and insights. He distinguished himself in the world of media as well as politics. Anguished by his demise. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti" the PM said in a tweet.
