UP's Dreaded Gangster Ankit Gujjar 'Baba' Found Dead In Tihar Jail
New Delhi, August 4 (TNA) One of Uttar Pradesh Police's most wanted, Ankit Gujjar was found dead in his cell at the high-security Tihar jail on Wednesday. The young gangster, who carried a cash reward of ₹ 1.25 lakh on his head - of which Rs one lakh as by the UP Police and Rs 25,000 by the Delhi Police, was accused in eight murders.
The prison staff found him lying lifeless in jail # 3 this morning. He had been arrested by the Delhi Police and had since then been languishing in Tihar jail. Sources say after creating a terror in some parts of Uttar Pradesh he had set his eyes on South Delhi.
He had been arrested by the UP Police in 2015 but got off on bail in 2019after which he shook hands with the Rohit Chowdhary gang in the union capital and was committing crimes there. Reasons for his death are yet to be ascertained and a probe has been set in motion by prison authorities.
