Union Minister Shripad Naik Injured In Road Mishap, Wife And Secretary Killed

Bengaluru, January 11 (TNA) Union minister Shripad Yasho Naik was injured in a road mishap in Akola, Karnataka on Monday, police said. His wife and personal secretary were not so lucky and they died in the mishap. The injured have been admitted to a medical facility where Naik is reportedly doing fine and is conscious.

Naik is likely to be shifted to Goa for treatment. Reports suggest that prime minister Narendra Modi has spoken to the Goa chief minister and asked for all arrangements to be made to transport his ministerial colleague for treatment.
