Ten Security Personnel Killed In IED Explosion Triggered By Naxals In Chattisgarh

Raipur, April 26 (TNA) 10 security personnel, and a bus driver were killed in an IED attack on a vehicle carrying DRG (District Reserve Guard) personnel near Aranpur in Bastar on Wednesday. The IED was planted by naxals. The policemen were returning from an anti-Maoist operation that was launched after intelligence inputs.

The DRG has been instrumental in several successful operations against the rebels in Bastar, a hotbed of left-wing extremism. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel condoled the loss if lives and said, "There is such information with us. It is very saddening. My condolences to the bereaved families. This fight is in its last stage. Naxals won't be spared." Soon after the attack, union home minister Amit Shah spoke to Bhupesh Baghel and assured him full support from the centre in weeding out naxals and hunting the perpetrators of the henious crime.
