Shivraj Singh Chouhan Headed For Uttarakhand As 26 MP Pilgrims Die In Road Mishap

Bhopal, June 6 (TNA) Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ahs left from the hill state of Uttarakhand where a bus full of pssengers from Panna in Madhya Pradesh fell into a deep gorge while returning from Yamunotri on Sunday evening. As soon as the news of the tragedy was broken to Chouhan, an official informed, he spoke to Dhami about the arrangements to retrieve the bodies from the gorge and later for their transport to MP.

The accident happened near Damta on Yamunotri National Highway. There were 30 people from Madhya Pradesh in the bus. 26 people perished in the accident while four are critically wounded. The MP and Uttarakhand chief minister both are to travel to the mishap site later in the day. Arrangements are being made to treat the injured and bring the dead bodies to Madhya Pradesh.
