Ram Naik Mourns Demise of "Younger Sister" Mridula Sinha

Mumbai, Nov 18 (TNA) Former Uttar Pradesh governor Ram Naik mourned the passing away of former Goa governor Mridula Sinha on Wednesday. In a condolence message, Naik recalled his long association with Sinha, both as a colleague in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and also as a literary fellow.

Calling the departed leader his "younger sister" the former union minister also recalled how she had written the foreward of his book and that despite her busy schedule always found time for him and the literary discussions that followed.

Naik also pointed out how she never accepted gifts from people calling on her but rather stuck to receiving fruits, which were later distributed amongst the poor and needy. "She was a front line women leader of the BJP and left and impression in whatever role that was assigned to her", Naik said further.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and many other leaders from Uttar Pradesh have also expressed condolences at the passing away of the former Goa governor.
