President Kovind Gets Emotional As He Lands In His Native Village At Kanpur

Kanpur, June 27 (TNA) President Ram Nath Kovind got emotional on Sunday afternoon as he reached his natie village in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Kovind, soon after alighting from his chopper at Paraunkh in Kanpur Dehat, bowed and touched the ground in an emotional gesture.

Dignitaries, including UP governor Anandiben Patel, chief minister Yogi Adityanath and others looked on as the Prez did this act at his 'home coming'. He is on a three-day visit to his native village. He reached Kanpur on board a special train that brought him from New Delhi.

“I’d never imagined even in my dreams that an ordinary boy like me from a village would get privilege of discharging responsibilities of the highest office of the country. But our democratic system has made it possible, said Kovind, at Jan Abhinandan Samaroh later.
