Prayagraj Celebrates As Local Lad Yash Dayal Selected For Indian Cricket Team

Prayagraj, Nov 1 (TNA) The holy city of Prayagraj has burst into joy as a local lad - Yash Dayal has been picked up by the BCCI for the Indian squad for the Bangladesh tour starting next month. Dayal, a medium pace bowler is a resident of Chakia Mohalla.

The team will go to Bangladesh to play a series of three one-day matches under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Yash’s phone has been ringing eversince and the family finds itself on the top of the world with the development.

After school and district level team he got selected in UP Ranji team. On the strength of his sharp bowling, he was included by Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 for a price tag of Rs 3.20 crore. Yash proved himself by taking 11 wickets in nine matches. Since then speculations were being made to include him in Team India.

Yash Dayal's father, former cricketer Chanderpal, hoped that the son would soon get to wear the cap of Team India and his dream came true soon. Its only after Mohd Kaif that the city has found another local lad to be part of the men-in-blue.
