NIA Busts Pak-Sponsored Al-Qaeda Module, Arrests Nine Terrorists From West Bengal And Kerala

NEW DELHI || The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday said that it had has arrested nine Al-Qaeda terrorists during raids in the states of Kerala and West Bengal.

It further informed that it had conducted simultaneous raids at several hideouts of these terrorists and had arrested the nine Al-Qaeda operatives from Ernakulam in Kerala and Murshidabad in West Bengal.

This, an official said, were part of a module of AQ terrorists who were sponsored by Pakistan. The NIA statement further said that of teh total arrests made on Saturday, six were made from West Bengal while the remaining three were picked up from Kerala.

The terrorists were bracing up to attack vital installations in the country and kill innocent people. Large quantity of incriminating materials including jihadi literature, sharp weapons, digital devices, documents, country-made firearms have also been seized from them.
