NHRC Registers Case In Complaint On Saharanpur Custodial Beating

Lucknow, June 17 (TNA) The National Human Rights Commission has registered a case (No: 15063/24/64/2022) on the complaint sent by Amitabh Thakur and Dr. Nutan Thakur regarding brutal and barbaric beating inside the police station of Saharanpur, on which further action will be taken by the commission.

In his complaint, he had said that a video was posted on the Twitter account of Shalabh Mani Tripathi, MLA, Deoria Sadar, in which some policemen are continuously beating some people in police custody with extreme brutality and brutality, which directly- It is a direct violation of human rights.

Later, the report of a private electronic channel revealed that this video is from Saharanpur. The names of those beaten up in the report have been given as Mohammad Ali resident of Pir Gali, Saharanpur, Mohammad Saif (white kurta pajama), Mohammad Tariq (black shirt), Rahat Ali (green jacket), Imran etc. It has also been told that these people An FIR has also been registered against him, although SSP Saharanpur Akash Tomar and SP City Rajesh Kumar have denied the video has any connection with Saharanpur.

Amitabh and Nutan had demanded the strictest action against the guilty policemen, terming such ruthless beating in the police station as a very serious case of human rights violation.
