Massive Blaze Guts Plastic Scrap Godown In Haridwar

Haridwar, August 23 (TNA) A massive fire gutted a scrap godown in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand on Monday, a police official said. The godown was situated in a residential area near Salempur Roshnabad and the fire apparently broke out in the wee hours of Monday.

As the blaze spread, threatening the neighbouring areas, fire tenders from Sidkul and Haridwar were rushed to the scene of fire to douse the blaze. The fire was brought under control after more thans even hours of relentless work by the firemen.

The godown belonged to a certain Qamruddin Ahmad who used to stockpile plastic scrap and polythene there, Everything has been gutted but no loss of life has been reported.
