Man Ties Dog To Car In Kerala, Drags For Several Kilometres, Arrested

Thiruvananthapuram, December 12 (TNA) Kerala police has arrested a man following a viral video in which he is seen tying a dog to the car and dragging him for several kilometres. The incident happened in Ernakulum district of the coastal state and the 62-year-old has been identified as Yusuf.

Police said the man was irked at the dog's presence in his locality and felt it was creating nuisance. He hence tied him with a rope and dragged him for a long distance as he wanted to leave him at a far-off place.

The incident happened on Friday and a biker passing by shot it on his mobile and shared it on the social media, which reacted sharply to the inhuman incident.

A case was slapped on the car owner under various sections of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The accused was subsequently arrested and now is out on bail.
