LPG Cylinder Gets Dearer, Price Hiked By Rs 50

New Delhi, March 22 (TNA) Government oil marketing companies have increased the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders without subsidies for the first time after October 6, 2021. However, prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders have been cut by Rs 8.5.

Due to the ongoing war in Russia and Ukraine, the effect of increase in crude oil prices is now visible at the domestic level. After petrol and diesel, government oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the prices of domestic LPG cylinders on Tuesday. The prices of domestic LPG cylinders have been increased by more than Rs 50 in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities from Tuesday.

Oil companies have increased the prices of petrol and diesel today after 137 days. Petrol and diesel prices have increased by 80 paise per liter. This is the first increase in oil prices since November 4.

Despite the jump in crude oil prices, the prices have remained stable since then. International oil prices were around $ 81-82 per barrel in early November, which are now $114 per barrel. Crude oil prices have risen by over 25 per cent since the last hike in November.
