"Journalist Turned Spiritualist" Swami Maartandpuri Passes Away

NEW DELHI || Eminent seer Mahamandaleshar Swami Maartandapuri aka Madhav Kant Mishra, who had many followers across the country passed away in the union capital after a brief battle with the dreaded Coronavirus. A guru to many and a friend to all, a statement said, he left for his heavenly abode on September 12.

He was born on July 10, 1947. His final rites would be conducted at the Punjabi Bagh crematorium in New Delhi at 2 pm on Sunday, a follower informed. He was the incumbent Chairman of the Rudrakripa Foundation Trust and was the man who had conceptualised the Aastha channel and was former executive director at the Sadhna TV.

He was bestowed the Mahamandaleshwar title at the Prayag Mahakumbh in 2013 and preferred calling himself a "Journalist Turned Spiritualist". He was also associated with the panchayati Akhada-MahaNirvani.
