IPS Jawed Akhtar Passes Away After A Failed Battle With COVID

Lucknow, May 14 (TNA) Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Jawed Akhtar passed away at a medical facility in New Delhi on Friday after an unsuccessful battle with the Coronavirus. The 1986 batch UP cadre police officer was on central deputation.

He had served at various posts in Uttar Pradesh including a stint in Meerut. He was posted at a special DG at the CRPF. Many senior officials remembered him as a grounded and nice soul.
