India's Prestige Globally At Its Pinnacle: Jagdeep Dhankhar

Chandigarh, April 23 (TNA) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday said that India's prestige in the world has never been as high as it is today. He said that on this day everything is happening in the country, which was never imagined. Today India ranks fifth in the world economy. Farmers and labourers have a huge contribution in shaping India development. By the end of this decade, India will be the third largest economy in the world, said the Vice President.

Dhankhar said while addressing the state-level function organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Shri Dhanna Bhagat ji at Dhanori village in Kaithal. His wife Sudesh Dhankhar was also accompanied by him to specially attend the ceremony. He said that the people of the world are surprised that from April 1, 2020, the government is providing rice, wheat and pulses to 80 crore population in India.

“In every situation we have to keep our India paramount. Everything is within the ambit of the law. Upliftment of the farmer is the backbone of our economy. So far, Rs 2.25 lakh crore has been given to 11 crore farmers”, said Sh. Jagdeep Dhankhar.

Jagdeep Dhankhar was all praises for the State Government headed by Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar. The Vice President said that the initiative taken by the state government to remember the saints and great men of the society is praiseworthy in itself. “Due to this initiative of the government, such an environment has been created that today all the citizens are giving their important contribution in taking the society forward in the right direction by respecting the ideas and teachings of the saints”, said the Vice President.

The Vice President showered praises on the Chief Minister for announcing a medical college named after Shri Dhanna Bhagat at Jind and a women's college at Dhanori village. He said that his first visit to Haryana was at Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram Ji's place and now this day would always be memorable for him. Thoughts of Shri Dhanna Bhagat ji have been mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib. Therefore, today it is the responsibility of every citizen to contribute in building the society by following his thoughts, Dhankhar underlined.

Praising the contribution of Saints during covid spread, the Vice President said that the Saints showed the path of harmony during Pandemic. The Vice President said that during the Pandemic the entire country saw how saints made their pivotal contributions. Saints gave the message of communal harmony. The people of the world are surprised that such a large population has been successfully vaccinated, said Dhankar.
