Harsimrat Kaur Badal Resigns In protest Of The Farmers' Produce Trade & Commerce Bill 2020

NEW DELHI || Fissures appeared in the National democratic Alliance (NDA) on Thursday as the oldest ally of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) protested the Farmers' Produce Trade & Commerce Bill 2020 and its minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from the union cabinet.

She was the Union Minister for Food Processing Industries and according to reports she quit in protest agains the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020.

The Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal had sent her resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi fro acceptance.
