Former Gujarat Governor OP Kohli Passes Away, PM Condoles

Noida, february 20 (TNA) Veteran BJP leader and former Gujarat Governor OP Kohli passed away at the age of 87 on Monday. He was ill for some time and was undergoing treatment at Neo Hospital in Noida where he breathed his last. His cremation will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at Nigam Bodh Ghat in Delhi. Prior to that, his body will be kept at his residence at Sahyog Apartment, Mayur Vihar, Phase I, Delhi from 8 am onwards for workers and public to pay their last repects.

He held several positions in the BJP, including the President of the Delhi Pradesh BJP twice. Apart from being a Rajya Sabha member, he was the Governor of Gujarat from 2014 to 2019. PM Modi has condoled and said that he played an important role in strengthening our party in Delhi. As a parliamentarian and governor, he focused on issues of public welfare. He also had a keen interest in the field of education.
